Mr. Nalin Wijekoon holds the esteemed position of Chairman on the Board of Directors at Richard Pieris Finance Limited, where he serves as a Non-Independent Non-Executive Director. With over 40 years of extensive experience in the financial sector, Mr. Wijekoon brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his role. He served as the Chairman of the Finance Houses Association of Sri Lanka (FHA) from 2013/14 to 2014/15, demonstrating his leadership capabilities within the industry. He served as a Director of the Credit Information bureau of Sri Lanka from 2015 to 2018.

Mr. Wijekoon’s career trajectory includes notable positions such as CEO/Director of Softlogic Finance PLC from February 2013 to March 2020 and CEO of PMF Finance PLC from April 2020 to December 2022. He commenced his professional journey at People’s Bank as a Finance Officer in 1978 before transitioning to KMPG Ford, Rhodes, Thornton & Co., where he served as a Branch Manager in 1990. His career continued to evolve with roles at DFCC Bank as a Project Officer in 1992 and at Vanik Incorporation Ltd., where he held positions including Asst. Vice President – Finance and Senior Vice President until 2003.

Throughout his career, Mr. Wijekoon has undergone numerous training programs both locally and overseas, including at Harvard University, Boston, USA. He is recognized as a Fellow of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, UK, a Fellow of the Sri Lanka Institute of Credit Management, and a Finalist of the Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka. His diverse experience, coupled with his professional accolades, underscores his valuable contribution to the financial sector and to Richard Pieris Finance Limited.
